This is an office and yard, not a showroom, so please call before coming by. Almost everything gets handled at your property anyway, since we cannot quote a tree we have not stood underneath.

What to tell us so the estimate is accurate

You do not need to know tree species or measurements. But the more of this you can give us, the closer the first number will be to the final one.

• Your address in Twin Falls. Half of the quote is site access, and we can see a lot before we ever pull up.
• Roughly how tall the tree is. Compare it to your house. Twice as tall as the roof, about even with the gutter, that kind of thing.
• What is underneath it. Roof, fence, shed, garden, driveway, hot tub, block wall, or wide open lawn. This is the single biggest factor in what a job costs.
• Whether there are wires nearby. Especially anything running from the pole to your house.
• Your narrowest gate opening in inches. It decides what equipment we can get into the backyard.
• What you want done with the wood. Hauled off, or cut to firewood length and stacked somewhere on the property.
• Photos. One wide shot showing the whole tree and its surroundings, one of the base of the trunk. Those two pictures answer most of our questions.

What happens next

We will get back to you during business hours, usually the same day. Then we come out, walk the property with you, and give you a written price for the specific work described. There is no charge for the visit and no pressure at the end of it.

If you approve the price, we put you on the schedule. Routine work generally happens within a week or two, longer during the busy stretch after a spring windstorm. If what you are describing sounds actively dangerous, we move it up the same day.

Storm damage is a phone call, not a form

If a tree is on your house right now, or a limb is across the driveway, or something is leaning that was not leaning yesterday, call. The form gets checked during business hours. The phone gets answered when it matters. Stay away from anything touching a wire and let the power company know first.

That is fine, pick "Not sure yet" on the form and describe what you are seeing. Most calls sort themselves out quickly. If limbs are hanging over the roof and dropping deadwood, you probably want a trimming visit. If the tree already came out and there is a lump in the lawn, you want stump work. If the leaves went yellow or a spruce is going brown from the bottom, we should come diagnose a sick tree before anything else gets decided.
